We, members of the Palmieri-Oneto family, adamantly believe there's no greater luxury than our own planet. 

For this reason, we've decided to enlist the help of a specialist (Energy Manager) to conserve and rationalize energy consumption. We have also involved some university bodies to identify possible areas of intervention to improve our Resort's energy management.

Our eco-friendly hotel in Sicily

We have decided to produce energy from renewable sources. To do so, we have adopted state-of-the-art photovoltaic systems.

Our rooms are air-conditioned thanks to a refrigeration unit keeping energy production under control and avoiding waste.

Home automation manages room lighting and air conditioning so that we can save on energy. We make the most of daylight and illuminate our rooms with energy-saving LED lamps.

We make up at least 10 percent of our annual CO2 emissions with carbon offsetting initiatives. We have eliminated non-recyclable single-use plastic and introduced a certified "green" courtesy line to counteract the spread of carbon dioxide into the air.

What we do for our guests in our green Resort

We have enabled our guests to experience a stay fully respecting environmental sustainability. We've researched and adopted specific tools to reduce the impact of travel and water consumption.

If you arrive at Baglio Oneto Luxury Wine Resort with an electric vehicle, you can use our recharging stations for free. If you wish, you can also rent our walking bicycles or, if you bring your own bike from home, you can leave it in our free parking lot. We also rent electric and sportbikes.

If you're interested in saving water, you can decide to use the same towels for a few days in a row. You can also tell our front desk the days when you won’t need our daily cleaning service, thus saving on the necessary energy consumption.

Remember that our eco-resort in Sicily uses only water-saving, double-button start/stop toilets with limited water flow. Our water dispensers located in the various rooms of the Resort and showers are also strictly water-saving.

You'll also find many recycling bins to separate your waste.

Our eco-Resort in Sicily uses 80% of local food: most raw materials you’ll find in our kitchen come directly from Marsala. We also have plenty of organic food, especially in our morning buffet at breakfast.

We value food sustainability and animal respect. For this reason, we do not exhibit our wild animals kept in captivity near our hotel in Marsala.
